TRL Solutions is a proud marketing partner of Wolastoq Casino. St. Mary’s First Nation released the following press release, and we’re excited to help share the news.
St. Mary’s First Nation (Sitansisk) is proud to announce the Wolastoq River Resort Casino, a landmark tourism, entertainment, and hospitality destination envisioned to become one of New Brunswick’s premier attractions and a major driver of regional economic growth.
The development is planned as a three-phase project scheduled to begin in 2027 following Approval-in-Principle and completion of the Addition to Reserve (ATR) process for lands acquired specifically for this resort development.
Upon completion, the destination resort will feature a 30,000 square foot casino and bingo hall, a state-of-the-art event centre capable of hosting up to 1,000 guests for concerts and live entertainment while maintaining flexibility for trade shows, conferences, and community events, and a full-service hotel and spa with more than 100 guest rooms.
The project builds on the continued success of the existing Wolastoq Casino, which created 45 new jobs and increased total employment to approximately 140 team members. Revenues generated through gaming operations have supported community programs and services while strengthening long-term economic stability for St. Mary’s First Nation.
The Wolastoq River Resort Casino is expected to dramatically increase employment opportunities, create sustainable careers, and provide economic security for the next seven generations of Sitansisk First Nation members. The project is also expected to generate substantial economic spin-offs across construction, tourism, hospitality, entertainment, transportation, and professional services throughout Fredericton and New Brunswick.
“Our community has long been a leader in advancing economic reconciliation, creating meaningful opportunities for our people while strengthening our self-sufficiency. This transformative project represents another important step toward securing lasting prosperity and opportunity for future generations.”

Upon completion, the Wolastoq River Resort Casino will stand as one of Atlantic Canada’s premier entertainment and tourism destinations, welcoming visitors from across the region while showcasing Wolastoqey culture, heritage, and hospitality. Through world-class gaming, events, accommodations, and cultural experiences, the resort will help position Fredericton and New Brunswick as a leading destination for visitors, while creating lasting economic opportunities and prosperity for future generations of St. Mary’s First Nation.
